Atlas SEO Privacy Policy

Atlas SEO (“the App”) provides AI-assisted search engine optimization tools for Shopify merchants. This Privacy Policy describes how Atlas SEO collects, uses, and stores information when merchants install and use the App.

Information We Collect

When a merchant installs and uses Atlas SEO, we may access and process the following information from their Shopify store:

  • Store information such as shop domain and store settings
  • Product, collection, page, and article content
  • SEO metadata (titles, descriptions, handles)
  • App configuration settings created by the merchant

We do not collect customer payment information.

We do not collect personal customer data beyond what is necessary to fulfill Shopify compliance requests.

How We Use Information

We use store data only to provide the functionality of Atlas SEO, including:

  • Generating and updating SEO titles and descriptions
  • Creating metadata and optimization suggestions
  • Processing bulk optimization requests
  • Maintaining app settings and preferences

Data is used solely to operate the App and improve its functionality.

Data Storage

Atlas SEO stores limited configuration and usage data in secure infrastructure.

Store content processed for SEO generation may be temporarily transmitted to AI processing services to generate metadata.

We do not sell merchant data.

We do not use store data for advertising.

Data Sharing

We only share data with service providers required to operate the App, such as:

  • Cloud hosting providers
  • AI processing services

These providers are used solely to deliver app functionality and are required to protect merchant data.

Data Retention

We retain store data only as long as necessary to provide the App’s services.

When a merchant uninstalls Atlas SEO, stored data related to that store is deleted within a reasonable timeframe.

Shopify Compliance Webhooks

Atlas SEO complies with Shopify’s required privacy webhooks:

  • customers/data_request
  • customers/redact
  • shop/redact

We respond to these requests to ensure merchant and customer data is handled according to Shopify policies.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect store data using secure transport, authentication, and restricted access controls.

Merchant Rights

Merchants may request deletion of their app data at any time by uninstalling the app or contacting support.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. Updates will be reflected on this page.
